Refund Policy

Last Updated: 15/07/2026

1. Our Commitment

At First Aid Education, we understand that plans can occasionally change. We always aim to be fair, reasonable and as flexible as possible whilst recognising that course places, instructors and venues are reserved well in advance.

This Refund Policy explains how cancellations, transfers and refunds are managed for course bookings made directly with us.

2. Cancelling Your Course Booking

If you need to cancel your booking, please notify us as soon as possible. All cancellation requests should be made in writing by email or through our contact form to ensure there is a clear record of your request.

Refunds will be considered according to the amount of notice provided before the course start date.

  • A full refund minus a £10 administration fee will be granted if a cancellation is made any time up to 10 full days before the day of your course.
  • Between 10 days and 4 days prior to your course date then a 50% refund will be granted.
  • If within 3 full days prior of your booked course date then no refund will be granted.

Where possible, we will always try to help learners transfer to another available course, although this cannot be guaranteed.

3. Failure to Attend

If a learner fails to attend a booked course without providing prior notice, the booking will be treated as a non-attendance and no refund will normally be available.

4. Transfers to Alternative Course Dates

We appreciate that unexpected circumstances can arise.

Where sufficient notice is given and course availability allows, we will make every reasonable effort to transfer your booking to an alternative course date. Transfer requests should be made as early as possible and are subject to availability.

We reserve the right to refuse repeated transfer requests where they would significantly affect course administration.

5. Courses Cancelled by First Aid Education

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a course due to unforeseen circumstances, insufficient learner numbers or events beyond our reasonable control, we will contact you as soon as possible.

You will be offered the choice of:

  • A full refund of any course fees paid; or
  • A transfer to another available course date.

Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the course booking. We cannot accept responsibility for any additional costs or losses, including travel, accommodation, loss of earnings or other associated expenses.

6. Online Shop Purchases

If you purchase physical products through our online shop, you may have cancellation and return rights under applicable UK consumer legislation.

If you change your mind, please contact us within the applicable cancellation period. Returned items should be unused, in their original condition and returned in suitable packaging.

Refunds for returned goods will normally be processed once the items have been received and inspected.

Certain products, including personalised, bespoke or hygiene-sensitive items where applicable, may not be eligible for return unless faulty or otherwise required by law.

7. Faulty or Incorrect Goods

If you receive an item that is damaged, faulty or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible.

Where appropriate, we will arrange a replacement, repair or refund in accordance with your statutory consumer rights.

8. Exceptional Circumstances

We recognise that exceptional situations can occur which are outside a learner’s control.

Where appropriate, we may consider refund or transfer requests outside of this policy entirely at our discretion. Each request will be assessed individually, and any decision made under exceptional circumstances does not create a precedent for future bookings.

9. Contact Us
